What’s An Alpha Male?

If you’ve ever looked for dating advice online, you’ll probably stumbled across the term “alpha male.” The first thing you need to know about this term is that it’s not new and it’s not an idea that’s unique to gurus who teach guys how to pick up girls.

In it’s most basic definition, an alpha male is simply the leader of the pack. We take this idea from the Animal Kingdom where social animals have a strict pecking order, usually with one alpha male dominating the rest of the pack.

This definition gets stretched and expanded on a bit when using it to describe men in terms of their attractiveness to women. In the context of dating and sexual attraction, an alpha male or AMOG, is a guy who displays dominant social traits.

Traits of the alpha male

1) Confidence: Alpha males are confident in social situations and tend to be outgoing, particularly when it comes to flirting with women.

2) Leadership: It’s considered to be “alpha” when any guy is clearly the leader and/or decision maker for his social group.

3) Social aggressiveness: Alpha males are often defined by their ability to be the center of attention from desirable females. They may sometimes keep their competition in check with put-downs and/or physical domination.

4) Demonstrates high social value: Central to the idea of alpha male dominance is standing higher on the social ladder than the men around you. Men in the seduction/PUA community sometimes try to achieve this through something called Demonstrations of Higher Value (DHVs). These DHVs can be anything from a display of implied wealth to providing “social proof” of desirability by surrounding yourself with attractive women.

Is there any truth to this stuff?

It’s true that women generally tend to be more attracted to men who display alpha traits. Some men find alpha males to be such a threat that they war game techniques on how to defeat AMOGS.

On the other hand, all women are different and attraction tends to be far more complicated than is represented in the pickup/seduction circles.

It’s important to remember that none of this is exact science. It’s not unusual for a guy to embarrass himself rather badly by mimicking what he thinks are alpha male traits.

We actually have a good example of this in politics when a fawning article about Al Gore’s alpha-type personality led him into a disastrous attempt at alpha dominance during a debate with George Bush.

The bottom line? Yes, displaying alpha traits helps you pick up more girls. But there’s a thin line between dominance and leadership and being a boorish, overly aggressive jerk that sends women running in the other direction.

The Sure-Fire Way To Get Your Wife Back

Both of you have promised each other to stay together through better of through worse. Sadly, the worse has happened and you have not gotten through it… yet. It will not be easy, for a marriage in trouble, or even a divorce, is one of the hardest things to fix in life. Men who have gone through this know how it feels to be alone, without the one person they love most in the world. But just because she is gone does not mean you won’t ever be able to get her back. When one is faced with a situation like this, it is usually best to start from the beginning, what got her to fall in love with you in the first place. Your job is to show her that that man is still within your soul to impress her like it is your first date. Accentuate the qualities about you that she loves best. It will not be quick, and will not be easy, but being steadfast in your efforts will yield the best results. However, do not become a “stalker” spending every waking moment trying to win her back. That will only make her feel like she made a good decision to leave you. Use your head: if you think you are beginning to sound desperate or annoying, then you probably are.

One of the best strategies is to marvel at her appearances. Remind her how stunning the looks and has always looked to you. Also mention the fact that you wouldn’t change one thing about her, except for her to be back with you. If you are trying to get her back, you must’ve done something wrong. You need to swallow your pride and do what is right. It is the first step into regaining that trust that has been lost.

Make sure you recognize your mistakes and that your wife knows that you are sorry for them. Make her understand that you will change, only for the better. And especially do not rush her into making a decision. A huge plus is not saying anything and just being patient, allowing her to make her own decision.

Understanding your wife’s point of view on the matter could be one of the best ways to see what you did wrong. Try to recall the things that made her upset and how to avoid or correct those mistakes. It will take time, patience, and a lot of apologizing to win her back. Just show her the man she fell in love with.

What is love? This looks a very simple question. Is it that simple? We all talk so much about love, read so much about love and use the word love so carelessly. What is love? Think for a minute? What is love? Is it a relationship? Is it an emotion? What is it?

Let us explore. Let us first examine what it means to fall in love, or what happens to a lover who falls in love. Then we can carry on from there. A look at the face, and you can detect if someone is in love? The eyes look dreamy, the smile comes on many times, sometimes you will hear a giggle, all while the lover is alone. It may be some recollection of days gone by. Or you will observe the excitement of meeting the beloved. The work is finished fast, or postponed, eyes shine bright and look excited thinking of the time ahead, the pulse visibly goes up, and the walk is very fast, in a hurry to meet the beloved. To meet, share and walk hand in hand. Why? Love. But what is love?

Ask someone to explain, and you will get an answer such as he/she is dearest to my heart. I feel heavenly. He/she is absolutely great. We cannot think of life without each other. If anything happens to my beloved, I will die. Oh, I feel so good when I am with my partner, I cannot describe. You will hear all these and many more such rambling answers. But nothing specific about what precisely is love. Is this making sense?

Let me try answering this query. Love is an emotion that binds one person to another in a relationship that cannot be described. Lovers are worried only about making their beloved happy. Those in deep love cannot stay away even for a small time. They are ready to forget and sacrifice most of their other relationships for the sake of their love. They are ready to die for each other, and history tells us that sometimes it really happens. Love is an emotional relationship that can never be described, but can only be experienced. Try explaining the taste of sugar, to someone who has never tasted anything sweet. You will never be able to do it. For that the other person has to eat sugar. Similarly, love can never be explained. One has to fall in love to know of its bliss. Please do so at the earliest opportunity.

Infidelity: How “My Marriage Made Me Do It” is a Cop-out

Ask someone why they had, or are having an affair and you may hear something like this: “I have a lousy marriage. My marriage is dead. There is no intimacy, no sex, and no excitement. The love is gone. We’ve grown apart. I can’t stand the marriage. There was nothing happening in the marriage and the affair just happened.”

These statements are rationalizations and fail to “get at” the underlying issues of extramarital affairs.

Key points:

1. It’s as if a marriage is an animal gone bad. A marriage does not have a life of it’s own. In reality, there is no such thing as a “marriage.” One is “married” as a result of making some promises and signing a paper at one point. After the paper is signed, two people continue communicating and acting toward one another in particular ways that they hope will help them get what they individually want. Just as there is no “marriage,” there is no such thing as a “relationship.” There are, however, ways of relating for which each person is responsible. Remember the comedian Flip Wilson (that dates me) and his “The devil made me do it” skit?

2. We idealize “marriage” or “romantic relationships” with the expectation we will get what we want, without much effort to boot. The movies, popular public press and romance novels/stories don’t help much here. A “marriage” is behind the eight ball from the word go. “IT” can’t win.

3. From day one most of us don’t have a clue about how to get, build, nurture and maintain healthy and intimate ways of relating. We need ‘love 101′ and it’s not there. We rely upon experimentation or bad models.

4. If the “marriage” is dead, why in the world would one choose to have an affair? Talk about jumping from the frying pan into the fire. It really is stupid. You add a whole layer of deceit and shame that eventually will result in consequences more dire than approaching your spouse and saying, “I’m really unhappy. What I’m doing with you obviously is not working. I want out.” Oh well, maybe some people need more problems and suffering.

5. If the “marriage” is bad, obviously, I don’t have to look at me. I can blame “it” or the other. Some of us find it difficult to look at me. Some of us don’t know how to look at me. Some of us never think of looking at me.

Tip: If your cheating spouse blames their affair on the “marriage,” don’t buy into it. The “marriage” is not the problem. You are not the problem. Your spouse/partner chose the affair out of ignorance, fear or inadequacy.

Making Beats is a very fun and profitable hobby or profession depending on how serious you are about the craft. It seems to be a big trend these days everyone is wanting to learn how to make beats so they can become the next big producer or perhaps put some extra cash into their pockets. There are many beat production applications out there and as well as tons of videos but none of them seem to really walk you through step by step on how beats are created. So what I’m going to do is share 5 tips with you on how to make great beats.

Tip 1 Pick the right music production tools

As I’ve stated before there are tons of music production tools out there both hardware and software. I would suggest you get started by downloading demos and testing them out. I’d also suggest that you take a trip down to your local guitar center and ask some questions. This will also allow you to touch and play with the hardware setups in person rather than just reading about them.

Tip 2 Study The Right Music Producer

There a lot of producers out there in the game it would be wise to pick 1 or 2 and do nothing but study their work. I use to sit down with a pen and pencil and write down the instruments I heard in songs all the time. Then I’d pay close attention to which sounds were used together. Some producers were heavy on using string and piano combinations and with other songs of theirs. They would use Guitars and thin sounding flutes. I also pay close attention to how long their patterns would run. Most of the time the main part of the song was only 2-4 bars that ran throughout with only slight variations.

Tip 3 Chose good hip hop samples

This goes back to tip 2 (Study the producer). What gives that producer you like his edge is the sounds that he uses. So when creating music its best to pick the best sounds possible. What I’ve noticed over in my years of music production is you can make a very generic pattern sound like gold if you have good sounds… Just think about it pick a song you like and picture it with different drums or different sounding instruments. In fact if you are messing around with a piece of software or hardware. Make a pattern that you like then change the sounds. You’ll notice it doesn’t sound as good because the sounds aren’t as good. Or what you can do and this is probably the best test. When you are in guitar center play the beat pattern from a hot song on the radio you’ll notice it doesn’t sound that good that will be because you don’t have the original producers sounds

Tip 4 Remake Other Producers Songs

This is vital in your hip hop production development for 2 reasons. 1. It will get your familiar with the limitations or true power of your production tool. 2. It will train your ear to pick out good sounds and it will help you with developing good arrangement skills. Not to mention it would be great if someone was willing to pay you $400.00 to make a beat that sounded similar to a hit that was already on the radio. That would be easy money in the bank for you.

Tip 5 Practice Practice

It’s an old saying but its true practice makes perfect. In this production game perfect isn’t need but the more your practice the faster you will become at making beats. A lot of companies these days don’t mind if they have subpar material as they are not music lovers they only care about meeting deadlines. If you don’t believe me just listen to some of the music that is on MTV commercials and product commercials they are all really simple and sometimes cheesy but guess what? I can bet you anything the creator of the beat pockets a good 3-4 figures in every few months from it.

Delayed Ejaculation – Facts Men Must Know

Premature ejaculation may be very common, but is certainly not the only penile dysfunction troubling men. Delayed ejaculation – sometimes variously called impaired ejaculation and retarded ejaculation. It is a condition in which it takes an extended period of sexual stimulation for a man to reach sexual climax and release semen from the penis. With delayed ejaculation, there are cases where the sufferer is unable to ejaculate at all.

This condition may not be much of a problem given the embarrassment of premature ejaculation. Although PE is embarrassing and humiliating to the man, delayed ejaculation has been known to equally cause untold hardship to the man and his sexual partner. Just imagine that it takes an average women between 10 to 15 minutes of positive stimulation to climax and yet her sexual partner goes on and on with a strong erection.

Deficiency in the development of some hormone can cause delayed ejaculation. How often erectile dysfunction is caused by hormone deficiency remains somewhat uncertain, but estimates put it between 2% to 4% of cases. Is it normal for men to have delayed ejaculation over time? The answer to this is scanty since there is no conclusive empirical evidence, but it is agreed that delayed ejaculation is only a problem if it causes stress for you or your partner.

Causes of delayed ejaculation:

It is important to first determine if the man can experience normal ejaculation through other means especially masturbation. If he can, it therefore means that the problems are psychological. Although sexual dysfunction usually occurs during sexual activity with a partner, it should be ascertained about the exact source during masturbation or sex with other partners. Any man with problems concerning ejaculation during masturbation, will not adduce the problem to his sexual partner.

If an external factor such as excess alcoholism or drug abuse is discovered as the cause, steps should be taken to eliminate or ameliorate the problem. Prompt recognition of the problem is important so that appropriate therapy can be attempted as early as possible.

Fear of contracting a sexually transmitted disease.

Sex in an environment that causes undue stress.

Other factors may interfere with sexual functioning. Such factors as environment have been known to affect delayed ejaculation. Absence of a private place in which the parties can exercise sexual activity or the man being too frightened by some circumstances to participate fully in sexual intercourse. But in such circumstance, the condition can not be a cause for alarm or condition requiring treatment since a change of environment will normalize the situation.

In all cases where delayed ejaculation or premature ejaculation is discovered adequate treatment that requires the collaboration of the spouse or sexual partner as the case may be, is needed to improve both the psychological and the physical aspects of the problem.

What is very obvious is that penile dysfunction – whether premature ejaculation or delayed ejaculation is an abnormality. When observed, every effort should be made treat it. Although drugs that can give temporary relief are many in the market, sufferers are advised to use natural remedies that offer permanent solution.

Stevie Nicks Gleerified!

The Queen of Rock ‘n Roll Stevie Nicks is back with ‘In Your Dreams’. Her first solo studio album in a decade released May 4, 2011 that caused tremors among Stevie Nicks’ fans around the globe. Music reviewers claim that the album is one of her best. Why, she wrote most of the songs herself. Plus, it is a collaboration of the brightest musicians in the industry. And we know that whenever Stevie Nicks writes her own song, they turn to be gold records. Remember? She’s the one who authored “Dreams”? The single which catapulted Fleetwood Mac in to world fame?

But months before the release, Stevie made a visit on the Glee set in support of Glee’s “Rumours” episode which covered songs from the Fleetwood Mac, her life-long band. The whole episode was a tribute to Fleetwood Mac. It was written by Ryan Murphy and directed by Tim Hunter. The episode premiered on Fox on May, 2011. (U.S). Also, the episode features the return of Kristin Chenoweth on her recurring role as April Rhodes. The episode became the 13th most viewed TV series in the United States that week and 3rd at United Kingdom.

Storyline

Sue Sylvester (yes, your favorite antagonist) started the fire. The cheerleading coach restored the school paper “Muckraker” in order to destroy the Glee club from within by triggering conflicts among members. The Muckraker spreads rumors that almost tear the group apart. Santana berated Brittany after reading a libelous write-up about her gender issues caused by the latter’s internet talk show (Fondue for Two). Another Muckraker item that pairs Sam and Quinn almost caused a fistfight between Sam and Finn. Suspicious, Finn dragged Rachel in to a stakeout with him outside a grungy motel. To their surprised, they instead saw Kurt leaving the motel instead of Quinn which makes the whole situation much more complicated and intriguing.

April Rhodes visits Will Schuester and asked him to help her out with her new all-white version of the Whiz. Wil declined due to club tensions. April then likens their current situation to that of Fleetwood Mac. Will realized the similarity and decides to make the week focused on “Rumours”, the best-selling Fleetwood Mac album.

To introduce the new assignment for the week, April and Will sang Dreams to the kids. This lead to a Fleetwood Mac classics parade. Artie finally confronted Brittany about her true relationship with Santana which lead to their sad breakup. Poor Artie sang “Never Going Back Again” after Brittany left him. Santana, filled up with her feeling towards her best friend, finally let it all out with “Songbird”. Angry Quinn, on the other hand, gave Finn an ultimatum: not one song with Rachel again or she’s out of his life (and glee club as well). The two performed “I Don’t Want To Know”. Rachel wouldn’t back down. She belted “Go On Your Own Way” and let Finn play the drums for her (genius, right?). Rumours then finally came to rest when everyone finds out that Sam and his family now lives in a cheap motel because their house was mortgaged and his parents were jobless for months. Kurt was bringing him some clothes and Quinn looks out for his younger siblings almost every night. After Sam’s revelation, the Glee club went to visit Sam along with his pawned guitar (they bought it back). Finn brought him his old garments. It was heartbreaking. For the reconciliation finale, Sam brought his siblings at school and together, they sing “Don’t Stop”.

Critical Reviews

The episode mostly got favorable reviews. Critics believed that it is better than the preceding episode. CNN France reporter Lisa Respers was amenable that she needed a roll of tissue at the end of the episode. Sam’s younger brother and sister were so adorable on the stage singing “Don’t Stop” that they made her cry. Obviously, this episode cleverly made use of some of the greatest classics available and integrated it to real drama. Not just for the sake of selling iTunes singles. Eric Futterman believes that the musical number were visually stunning and some of the best in the season. He pointed out that “Songbird” is the most heartbreaking.

Stevie’s McKinley stop

The Glee stars were starstrucked when the legend rocker visited the set. The Fleetwood Mac vocalist delivered a memorable speech in front of the cast. Stevie Nicks said, ‘If I hadn’t been a musician, I would have been a teacher. And I would’ve hoped to send this message to kids – that although there are very important things like math and science and learning, you know, kind of the things that get you through life, there’s also you need to find joy…And whether that’s through music or dance or things like that, you need to have outlets in your life.’ This part is where Diana Agron cried. The whole cast was moved by her.
